What to watch on TV tonight….

Hey all! Do you know what day it is? (Hint: It’s Thursday) Do you know what that means…? Scandal is on tonight!!!!  I’m super excited about this show and can’t wait to tell you why.

I don’t watch a ton of TV. Needless to say, in January when my mom insisted I follow Scandal with her, I wasn’t too excited.  This show is on it’s fourth season and I honestly have no idea what is going on over half of the time.  I really wasn’t sold on the show until last week’s episode.  Talk about girl power.  Continue reading

No Boys Allowed: The Women’s Only Fitness Club

As I was scanning through the news this morning, I came across an article about a couple of law students at McGill University.  The two young women are proposing that the campus gym should have women-only hours.  It would appear that some people are less than impressed by this proposal, saying it promotes segregation and further adds to inequalities between men and women. This story got me thinking, particularly about my own experiences with coed and women’s only gyms.

I most definitely feel intimidated going to the gym.  I feel hyper aware of my fitness level and am convinced that 90% of the other people in the gym are at least twice as in shape as I am. Continue reading
